![]() ![]() So thinking of going to Backblaze because its name always pops up in here as a good thing. The other problem I have with iDrive is that I don't KNOW for certain that it's backing everything up - the iDrive interface tells you how many percent, but how do I know if it's backed up every important file? (Quick answer: if it's easy, I can't find how). Their support department is no use at all in fixing this. I've been trying to upload 1500GB since December 10 (!) and it's been stuck on the last 15GB or so for about three weeks. I signed up for iDrive because it was ridiculously cheap - I got the 90% discount so I paid something like $6 for the first year - but for me it DOES NOT WORK. I am going to let my ACD account lapse in the summer once their large price increase kicks in. Just make sure to tag the post with the flair and give a little background info/context. A couple were caused by my failure to turn off Windows sleep, but others were listed as “can’t contact server” errors with a live connection. Both quit intermittently due to connection errors. While both my 50GB and 400GB backups eventually completed, it wasn’t without travail. I can understand this, but it’s not complete two-way sync. I had expected the changes to be logged and reflected on other devices. One issue I did notice was when I deleted the files online, they repopulated online from the local folders rather than being deleted from local folders. Sync was generally fine performance-wise, though I didn’t go much beyond 1GB of files. The separation reduces user confusion, even if it might waste a bit of space due to duplication. There’s also a separate section where shared files are kept-i.e., files shared with others, not among the Internxt sections. These are not synced, but as with backups, simply copied to the photos folder. ![]() Photo backup simply backs up the photos on your phone as do Google Drive and iCloud (when enabled).
